**About this role**
Do you find purpose in enabling sustainable and efficient operations? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager join our vibrant Australasia Procurement function where you will support the Procurement Leader in setting up and delivering category and sourcing strategies in line with Arup’s objectives. Providing commercial advice to key stakeholders and implement plans for multiple categories of spend that may include subcontractors, facility management, professional services, and general procurement categories at a regional level. The role will also explore opportunities to initiate and embed sustainable, ethical, social value and inclusivity improvements.

**What will I do?**
- Implement best practice procurement strategy to deliver on strategic procurement and sustainability objectives for specific categories of spend through the management of appropriate cross-functional teams and provide regular updates to stakeholders and procurement leaders.
- Manage sourcing and contracting, supplier evaluations, understand and negotiate terms and conditions to achieve the best overall position for Arup.
- Provide an independent commercial viewpoint, ensuring transparency and alignment with our procedures and values throughout all engagements.
- Undertake detailed commercial and business integrity due diligence on vendors and prospective vendors to ensure our standards are met..

**What will I bring?**
- Approx 5 years of relevant industry experience in end-to-end procurement including sourcing, category management, contract management, negotiations and supplier management.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management, and negotiation of complex contractual arrangements.
- Strong analytical and financial skill with the ability to convert key financial information into compelling stories for business partners.
- Excellent digital skills, working with and maintaining data to a high standard using Microsoft platforms and other ERP systems.
- Strong hands-on experience of implementing procurement initiatives and impacting positively on the performance of supply chains.
