**About you**

Our Allied Health team is seeking a passionate, flexible and professional Fully Registered Psychologist, who will be responsible for the day to day management of a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, behavior support practitioners and other allied health workers. You need to have recognised qualifications and experience as a Psychologist and currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).

**The role**

This role is responsible for the clinical and operational management of the team, including: monitoring and supporting all client care; adhering to evidence-based, best-practice and legislative requirements; Mentoring/supervising and developing clinicians overseeing the delivery of clinical services; actively managing referrals and demand for clinical programs; establishing professional networks and advocating for the needs and treatments of young people and participants in our care. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring a therapeutic, trauma-informed and disability-informed environment is created for the individuals we support.

We are a unique practice who strives on truly meeting client needs. We engage with clients from early childhood to late adulthood and are committed to best practice and great clinical outcomes. We work closely with Foster Care services, clients funded under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and are registered NDIS and Medicare providers.

**Essential Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health Services
- Registered psychologist, clinical psychologist or relevant allied health profession
- Demonstrated experience in a management capacity driving and clinical services framework across an organization
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment, responding flexibly to meet changing needs, priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of key policy frameworks within the community services and health sectors and proven ability to develop these within organizational contexts
- Exceptional communication skills including high level written skills, the capacity to impart knowledge and an ability to motivate others
- Demonstrable skills in reflective/critical thinking as well as an ability to think quickly and be responsive to meet tight time frames
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and people skills
- Experience in budget management, creating senior manager documentation and presentations
- Experience in clinical supervision and leadership in a mental health or community service setting
- Extensive experience in providing clinical and/or behaviour assessment, intervention and support in the disability, and out-of-home-care sectors
- Applied knowledge in relation to current trends in psychology and therapeutic treatment and support as it relates to the treatment of adults and children with intellectual disabilities; complex communication and behavioural support needs; and developmental/complex trauma
- On occasions may be presented with a referral where they are required to gain an understanding and appreciation of a range of presenting issues and be able to
- identify gaps in personal skills, resource limitations and opportunities for service enhancement
- Initiative and the capacity to work autonomously
- Driver’s license; NSW Working with Children Check; NDIS Worker Screening Check, current Police Check and proof of receiving COVID 19 Vaccinations.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Membership of relevant behaviour support, disability, psychological and/or Community Services Associations
- Experience in developing and implementing a clinical services program
- Experience in providing high level clinical supervision to psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and other allied health professionals
- Board approved supervisor with AHPRA and experience in supervising provisional psychologists
- Demonstrated knowledge in relevant community sector/disability and OOHC legislation and standards
