Neumann Steel is one of the most reputable family-owned and operated companies first established on the Gold Coast. We have been around for over 50 years and specialise in steel reinforcing across the manufacturing and distribution of reinforcing steel and plastic bar chair products for the Queensland and NSW markets. Our highly integrated supply chain is supported by our experienced staff, which houses a wealth of industry knowledge.
Due to recent succession planning, an opportunity exists to join a vibrant, friendly, positive, and highly experienced team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Community Engagement Coordinator works collaboratively with the Sales, and Marketing teams, in delivering departmental objectives.
**About the role**:
- Coordinate and organise internal events such as special events and celebratory occasions within the company (i.e., birthdays, Christmas) - preparing gift packs for employees and clients, digital birthday cards etc.
- Building a sense of community for employees - planning & implementing awareness campaigns - i.e., mental health, cancer month, safety month, pride month
- Preparing proposals for events such as conferences and coordinating networking events with active and potential customers/clients
- Providing direction to managers regarding change management and communication
- Liaising and negotiating with clients to achieve and identify opportunities to upsell and deliver beyond client expectations
- Preparing information and facilitating monthly 'toolbox' talks and any other meetings as required (i.e., HR new starts, new products, updates, managers updates)
- Regularly preparing and distributing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required (such as employee engagement surveys)
- Maintaining a high standard of product knowledge (that you will be trained in) to assist clients with creating their special day.
- Communicating effectively with internal & external suppliers to deliver events
- Assisting with creating fundraising events and campaigns
- Updating/replacing/sourcing our promotional materials (i.e., banners) for events and trade shows
**About you**:
- Around 3-5 years of previous experience in event planning, internal communications and/or HR Assistant role.
- Innovative change maker and self-starter with excellent communication and organisational skills that can act as the ambassador of the executive management team's interests - across the entire business.
- Experience in CANVA or a similar software package would be desirable to help create quality and professional promotional materials and tools.
- Relationship/Client management skills, with the ability to maintain and nurture current clients and partnerships and establish further ones.
- Superb time management and organisational skills
