Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for our client based in Fremantle. Reporting to the Senior Category and Commercial Manager this position will own the full lifecycle of management activities relating to the assigned Category. Success in this role will require the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders working a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday at their Fremantle based office.

Key Duties
- The Procurement Category Manager will own the full lifecycle of management activities relating to the assigned Category.
- Optimise relationships with all stakeholders and is responsible for all aspects of the strategic procurement plan for the Category.
- Continuous improvement management approach is adopted from a Divisional service level and Commercial outcomes perspective.
- Works related to procurement of Port assets/infrastructure of similar complexity
- Administration of associated asset maintenance services contracts
- Experience coaching self, team members and stakeholders through significant organisational change

Qualifications and experience
- Tertiary qualification and/or commercial experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. Strategic Procurement, Commerce)
- Engineering or Project Management backgrounds/qualifications who want to move more into a procurement role also considered
- Demonstrated commercial experience in Procurement Category Management
- Demonstrated commercial experience in the planning, development and/or management of high risk and complex contracts
