CASUAL RECEPTIONIST - for very busy Medical Centre

Shifts include morning, afternoon and weekends. To also be available for other staff on sick

leave or holidays.

Must have a professional manner with good work ethic, time management skills with

meticulous attention to details and willingness to learn new skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Able to work under pressure,

communicate effectively and manage a large volume of phone calls.

Key Responsibilities.
- Greet patients and other callers at the practice in a courteous and efficient manner.
- To answer the telephone promptly and courteously.
- To make appointments for patients following set procedures.
- Attend to account queries if possible or refer problem to the Practice Manager.
- Liaise with Specialist, Hospital staff, Pharmacist and all other visitors to the Practice in a professional manner.
- Readily deal with emergencies when necessary, following set procedures.
- To exercise confidentiality regarding patient care and all aspects of the practice.
- Maintain reception area in a tidy and welcoming manner.
- Scanning and/or filing patient correspondence, results etc.
- Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary.
- Work cooperatively and independently.

**Salary**: $20.33 - $30.00 per hour

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability
