We are seeking highly experienced PAINTING TRADES PERSON to join our team on a full-time and permanent basis. We are looking for trustworthy individuals with integrity who will bring a positive can-do attitude to the position and to the team.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Read blueprints/instructions, examine, and understand surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
- Make work preparation such as scaffolding, covering fixtures
- Be able to understand and complete works to specifications.
- Be able to mix correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
- Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage
- Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
- Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
- Able to carry out minor repairs as and when deemed necessary
- Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Support other team members to ensure completion of projects are on-time and in accordance to specification.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Trade Certificate -Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters)
- High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift
- Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs)
- HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift
- Drivers Licence (MR or HR class)
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
- Must have great work ethics
**Salary**: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super
