**Role Description/Criteria**

The role and responsibility of the 0.4 FTE Visual Arts teacher is to:

- Teach a Visual Arts program according to the Victorian Curriculum.
- Organise systematic assessment of student's Visual Arts skill and development
- Assess, analyse, document, monitor and track student progress
- Design a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater to individual learning needs.
- Use contemporary learning tools to engage students in the learning

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

- commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching, and living the school's vision
- commitment to the Bethany Child Safe Policy & the Staff Code of Conduct
- commitment to the ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
- capacity to promote contemporary & innovative practices
- ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community.

**Special Requirements**
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
