**Your new role**
- Assisting the Laboratory Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the Laboratory to ensure regulatory reporting of plant operations are actioned and supported.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, providing efficient and accurate analytical test results for all analysis within the laboratory
- Ensure laboratory quality control assignments are met performing independent quality control calibrations in accordance with NATA's and ISO requirements
- Gaining and maintaining approval as a signatory for all NATA accredited tests and supporting OHS requirements within the laboratory.

**Skills and experience**

To be successful for the position you will require the following:

- Thorough understanding and prior knowledge of international testing procedures and Industry Standard laboratory practices
- NATA and ISO requirements for Accreditation
- Understanding of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS1)
- Knowledge of ICP-OES, FIMS and automated analyser is highly regarded.
- Previous experience in sample preparation and wet chemistry.
- Common laboratory interferences for organic and inorganic testing, and specific ISO17025 accreditation and calibration requirements.
- You will also be adept in OHS & S practices and principles, with a Bachelor of Science degree or related Chemistry qualification.
