Easy Authoring is looking for an experienced Communications and Engagement Officer for a large Government client.

**Purpose of the Role**:
As a Communications and Engagement Officer you will deliver effective, well-evidenced and targeted community and stakeholder engagement activities, and work collaboratively across the department to develop and deliver the right information to the right audience at the right time.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Draft communications and engagement strategies and campaign materials to effectively inform target audiences and engage stakeholders.
- Draft written documentation such as web text, social media content, reports, briefs, submissions, and guidelines.
- Understand and put into practice contemporary engagement practices and techniques.
- Contribute to the evaluation of your projects and insights to inform activity and ongoing improvement.
- Work collaboratively across the agency to deliver key activities.
- Support and participate in best practice communications and engagement response at the Public Information Coordination Centre (PICC) in times of a Territory emergency.
- Understand and work within the ACTPS Code of Conduct and ACTPS values of respect, integrity, collaboration and innovation, and model behavior consistent with the ACTPS Respect Equity and Diversity framework.
- Provide support to undertake media and social media monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of engagement activities.
- Organize and attend consultation and information activities and analyze and communicate results - both face-to-face and online

**Key Requirement**:

- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing high quality integrated communications and/or engagement strategies and campaigns
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues management and an ability to meet deadlines amid competing priorities.
- Understanding of, and demonstrated commitment to, the implementation of the ACTPS Values, Code of Conduct, Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework and Workplace Health and Safety initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to take an audience-first lens to your work, informed by research, insights, and evaluation
