- Anduril’s Sydney team is seeking a Business Development Lead to join our team. The Business Development team is responsible for finding new growth opportunities for company technology within the government and commercial market, both in the United States and abroad. The team is responsible for finding new growth opportunities for company technology within government and commercial markets across the Australian and Pacific regions. As a Business Development Lead, you will provide support to the regional business development strategy. The right person for this role has strong research skills and can craft well written and technical papers or proposals. **ABOUT THE JOB**
Provide support to business development team in pursuing leads and managing relationships with customers. Support the Head of Australia in pursuing leads and managing relationships with customers, partners, and representatives.
- Search for and evaluate opportunities across Australia and the Pacific region that may be of interest to Anduril. Aid the BD team in finding, evaluating, and reviewing the contract mechanisms and commercial search engines that allow Anduril to source and track interesting opportunities across the security and defence sector. Craft business development products, such as white papers, proposals, or presentations.
Collaborate across nearly every Anduril team. Maintain internal coordination between team members and other teams within Anduril, such as Mission Operations, Bids and Proposals, Legal, Finance and Engineering. Based from our Sydney office, you’ll be responsible for ensuring each party is engaged and informed on the BD pipeline for the region, and will therefore become well-versed in what it takes to really bring the best of Anduril to our customers.
Conduct market studies of key Anduril product areas. Resource independent market studies across our product portfolio to analyse market forces, key competitors and forecast for resources in Europe and Africa.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
- Growth: As your portfolio grows so does the team supporting it to ensure mission success. Ultimately, you are responsible for the team working on mission execution for your clients.
- Build: Work directly with Anduril engineers to build relevant products for your client’s operational needs.
- Scale: Grow existing client business by solving their newest challenges and close new business.
- Embed: Work side-by-side with our clients, understand their challenges and shape Anduril’s platforms to their mission needs. Manage complex accounts efficiently and precisely.
- Ownership: Learn, develop, execute, repeat. You will be asked to own your portfolio at every level. No escape paths, no backstops, just you, your ideas and your ability to get things done leveraging Anduril resources.
- Team Player: No task is too small. If a tower needs to get built in the desert, get in the truck and go. If we’re standing up a test site, move furniture around and build out the space. Embrace the startup life.
- Write: As necessary, draft white papers, proposals, & contracts. Articulate Anduril’s complex platforms concisely.
- Engage: Participate in efforts to educate the broader set of Anduril stakeholderson our mission and unique approach.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Travel up to 15-20%
- Knowledge of defence and security acquisition processes
- Familiarity of Australian defence programs
- Strong writing and research skills
- Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment
- An enthusiasm for and broad knowledge of technology development
**PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Experience with complex hardware and software systems.
- Experience managing complex technical projects in government.
- Experience in business development, productization, and contracting.
