It’s our willingness to embrace the richness of our diverse teams, ideas and possibilities that drives our growth and progress. **What progress will you make?** The Country Treasurer is responsible for the prudential management of Citi’s capital, funding, liquidity, and balance sheet in the respective country. Additionally, the Country Treasurer will be responsible for regulatory relationships and will serve as the Treasury representative for the relevant Boards of Directors. This role ensures the effective management of balance sheet resources within the respective country. Additionally, the role is accountable for ensuring Citi has robust liquidity and capital management practices, consistent with global policy and local regulatory requirements. The position sits within Citi Treasury and requires a substantial amount of senior stakeholder and regulator management and is also a key senior leadership position within the Global Treasury and Finance function. **In this role, you’re expected to**: - Provide prudent management of the Balance Sheet of each Legal Entity and disciplined practices in managing treasury risk exposures - Manage the capital, funding and liquidity of all the legal vehicles within their jurisdiction across all lines of business - Provide advisory service on treasury strategy and support Country-specific ALCO discussion - Devise treasury strategies with Markets Treasury, Market Risk and business segments. Providing product, customer and geographic businesses with risk identification, risk management, product development and funding strategy through appropriate transfer pricing of both interest and liquidity risks, as approved by the Country ALCO and the Regional Treasurer - Monitor resultant liquidity, interest rate and currency risks, adhering to buffers, limits, triggers and reporting integrity, of local and global minimum requirements. - Evaluate activities with all businesses to ensure regulatory and local rating agency requirements are met with respect to balance sheet, liquidity, interest rate, FX, and capital measurements - Communicate to Country ALCOs and Regional Treasurer of accurate and timely information about material balance sheet exposure, changes, and issues. - Prior Treasury function experience essential. A broad distribution of prior Treasury experiences is preferred. - Understanding of legal entity structure, systems, and businesses. - Experience operating at a senior level with a deep and robust history of meaningful engagements with senior leaders, regulators, and rating agencies. - Expertise in local regulation regarding liquidity and capital is required - Knowledge of capital markets is desirable. - Experience in benchmark submissions or an execution role in interest rates is desirable. - English language at proficient level both written and oral - Strong and proven analytical skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to handle tight deadlines; ability to work under pressure and to prioritise and guide the team on a diverse set of objectives - Control focused with the ability and desire to see the “bigger picture”, prioritise, put things into perspective, draw conclusions and make decisions based on complex issues. - Must be able to understand complex financial concepts and distil into clear, concise, and simplified concepts. - Experience with understanding and preparing analytics for a senior audience. - Ability to engage and address local regulator asks - University degree in Finance, Business, Economic or Accounting or postgraduate degree in similar disciplines.
