My client is an extremely successful business operating a group of medical centres across NSW and ACT. As the organisation approaches a three-figure headcount and with plans to expand considerably in the next year, the time has come to introduce a HR Manager and a HR Department.
The role will report to the General Manager with regular contact with the CEO and founder. The peer group includes a Business Development Manager, Client Relationship Manager, and Finance Manager. The HRM will work alongside an existing Internal Recruiter. The main internal clients are the eight medical practice managers who are dispersed across NSW and ACT (travel not required). The organisation is about to create a service centre / contact centre which will further expand the internal client base.
The role will deal with end-to-end HR - transactional, operational and strategic work. Responsibilities will include
- HR Compliance - an initial audit and ongoing monitoring of employment contracts, polices, and processes
Employee Relations - Handling Employee Complaints, Disciplinaries etc (with support from an outsourced ER provider)
Remuneration - Salary Reviews and benchmarking to achieve consistency
L&D - Mandatory Training as well as areas such as soft skills development
Culture - Identify and articulate the culture, build initiatives to support retention / engagement
To secure this role you will be a practical and resourceful HR Generalist who can translate their knowledge and expertise into building a department almost from scratch.
