**The role**

The General Manager, Embedded Networks & Generation (Innogen), is principally responsible for the procurement and management of GPT’s Utilities contracts, strategic direction, management and growth of GPT’s Embedded Network business, ensuring strict adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements. P&L (Profit and Loss) management, ensuring financial performance aligns with the business unit growth strategy and the end-to-end delivery of innovative solutions to exceed customer expectations along with related contract management and procurement activities and general business management.

Innogen Australia Pty Ltd (‘Innogen’) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The GPT Group. Innogen is focused on delivering end-to-end innovative energy and generation solutions tailored to our customer’s requirements, who include; GPT asset owners, GPT managed assets and embedded network and generation customers. As such we focus considerable time and energy into understanding our customers’ needs and then presenting tailored solution options that seek to achieve specific goals.

Reporting into the National Manager, Sustainability Solutions & Energy, the role of General Manager, Embedded Networks & Generation sits within the broader Sustainability team. Through the delivery of innovation projects, optimal operations and the development, delivery and continuous improvements and assessment of GPT’s Energy Master Plan, Water Master Plan and Waste Management Plans this team is driving GPT’s carbon neutral journey.

**What you will be doing**
- Managing all aspects of the Innogen business, which includes; regulatory compliance and financial functions (budgeting, forecasting, reporting and debt management).
- Managing the delivery of all aspects of the Innogen business (including; customer sign ups, monthly customer billings process, accounts receivable functions, debtor management and customer enquiry liaison (via appointed Specialist Service Provider).
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System certification.
- Innovating, managing and shaping all operational needs and procedures across the Innogen business, as well as playing an integral role in growth and continued stability.
- Supporting the development and roll-out of performance analytics tools and platforms.
- Managing direct reports who will support in delivering all aspects of administration, accounts and customer management.

**What makes you stand out**

You will have prior embedded networks experience and deep knowledge and understanding of the national energy market. In addition, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements for embedded networks within the National Energy Market.

As an energy specialist you will have knowledge of solar PV systems and associated business models as well as large scale generation certificates and the requirements of the Clean Energy Regulator.

You will be a solutions focused individual with the knowledge and experience to nurture long term customer relationships. You will have the ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the business, as well as the day to day operational requirements. Exemplary communication and collaboration skills are a must in this role.
