About the role
Reporting to the SA State Faculty Manager, the SA Faculty Team Lead is responsible for supporting the delivery of the operational and strategic requirements of the SA Faculty. This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively guide team members and support service excellence. This role focuses on building team capability, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring the team is equipped and empowered to deliver high-quality member solutions, programs, events and activities.
**In this role, you will**:
Support the SA Faculty Manager to provide direction to the SA Faculty team, supporting the day-to-day regional delivery of products and services, and facilitate member engagement.
Drive the delivery of core work areas and innovative member-focussed solutions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve business processes, systems and policies to benefit members.
Influence and promote strategic direction, including building resource capability and faculty skills.
Work in collaboration with council and committees to strengthen governance and engagement of members.
Work together with the Faculty Manager and Chair to drive stakeholder relationships and strategic direction in line with organisational priorities.
Coordinate and draft responses to key advocacy issues on behalf of the faculty, including drafting submissions, position statements and letters to government, stakeholders and ministers.
Support faculty annual work planning and delivery.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications or experience in a relevant field (health, education, quality, management, business management.)
Demonstrated experience leading an engaged team.
Ability to contribute to workplans and strategy
High level written communication skills, experience in writing submissions, position statements and official letters
Advocacy experience (highly desirable)
Experience in membership organisation (highly desirable)
Experience in government relations (highly desirable)
Strong business development and communication skills, to represent RACGP effectively, negotiate and provide advice to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and accountably, and with MS Office products.
High level of initiative and drive.
