*** What you’ll be doing...**

Verizon is a Fortune 500 company and takes pride in servicing 99% of Fortune 500 companies as well as Government Agencies around the world. In Canberra, we run two key business units - the Government Security Operations Centre (GSOC) and Advanced Security Operations Centre (ASOC), providing services to customers who rely on Verizon to provide twenty four seven security analytics of their critical infrastructure.
- Monitoring, Alert Triage, Analysis, and Incident Determination - managing incidents through lifecycle on the SIEM & service management platforms.
- Working on customer incidents to completion independently and within service level agreements.
- Coordinating with Senior Analysts and customer personnel for high priority incidents.
- Continual service improvement and assisting in detection development.

**Where you’ll be working...**

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
*** What we’re looking for...**

You’ll need to have:

- Bachelor’s degree or oneor moreyears of work experience.
- One year of cyber security experience.
- Experience in Linux, Windows, SIEM platforms, Scripting, TCP/IP, DNS and/or network and log analysis.
- A current NV1 security clearance, or the willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

- ITIL Foundations experience or other relveant cyber security certifications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Two years of experience in a technical role.
- Ability to engage with customers to understand their requirements.
