The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an **Assistant Manager, Facility Operations** to provide a critical role within the Post Sentence Branch.
**About the Business Unit**
Corrections Victoria operates Victoria's adult corrections system, including Community Correctional Services across more than 50 locations, and manages 11 public prisons, one transition centre, and oversees three privately operated prisons. It ensures prisoners are safely and securely contained and aims to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
The Community Operations and Offender Services Division of Corrections Victoria is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including quality assurance systems for risk assessment and case management, offending behaviour programs, and transition and reintegration supports. The Community Operations and Offender Services Division has responsibility for the post-sentence supervision scheme and is also responsible for the Secretariat of the Victorian Adult Parole Board.
**About the Role**
Some of your duties will include:
- Manage and monitor operational service functions for the Post Sentence Branch and ensure these functions are consistent with the relevant legislation and associated operating procedures.
- Provide strategic and authoritative advice to senior management and the Secretary in the provision of high level reports, briefings, memos, recommendations and ministerial correspondence.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven ability to work within a highly complex service delivery area, preferably in relation to individuals with multiple and complex needs and/or within a legislative framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in best practice case management to proactively manage the risk of complex individuals.
**Qualifications/requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, but not mandatory.
