**with our Facility Manager to oversee operational and strategic management at a small 45 bed facility.**
**Permanent part time position**
**(4 days/ 30.4 hrs p/week)**
**Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (negotiable)**
**$100,776 Full time equivalent pro-rata p/annum **+ 10.5% Superannuation **+ not for profit Packaging**

**About the role...**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Manager to support the oversight over the performance of one small residential 45 bed facility.
The successful incumbent will work in conjunction with the Residential Facility Manager to ensure the facility is operating in line with the required quality standards, employees are fulfilling their responsibilities and creating a home for our Elders where they continue to receive outstanding person-centred care & customer service.
As a leader, you are will be responsible for role modelling MiCare values and behaviours to foster a highly engaged and performing team. Some of the Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring needs of all stakeholders are met, especially those of the Elders.
- Ensure resident care and services is consistent with the Aged Care Quality Standards and where this is not the case involve the multidisciplinary team to formulate and recommend interventions.
- Lead the team in achieving and maintaining accreditation standards and requirements.
- Mentor, supervise and educate staff ensuring quality services are delivered to residents.
- Maximise funding opportunities.
- Ensure clinical governance is current and oversee/implement clinical care needs and systems
- Facilitate student placements and ensure all requirements are met
- Lead the analysis and assessment of incidents, complaints, risks or issues that arise
- Contribute to innovation, research and partnership opportunities to ensure that MiCare service practice is current and/or leading edge.

You will have a true passion for Aged Care and an empathetic personality.
You will have well-developed leadership and mentoring ability, strong
communication skills with a flexible, caring and patient attitude. You will
demonstrate an eagerness to work with the Eden Alternative Philosophy.
**Qualifications**:
- Registered Nurse Division 1
- Current practicing certificate with the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency)
- Formal qualifications in management or a health related discipline, or business experience highly regarded
**Skills**
- A comprehensive understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the documentation required for the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), Legislation/Regulatory requirements
- Current clinical governance and contemporary clinical care practices and systems
- Understanding of the Ageing process, Dementia and other related diseases/conditions
- Ability to effectively lead a team and prioritise a substantial workload in order to achieve clinical outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to successfully drive change
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrates sound judgement and responds quickly and effectively to issues including Human Resource, client complaints and serious incidents
- Excellent report writing and Root cause analysis
**A police check with no disclosable outcome, medicare evidence of current influenza and full COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.**
**A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.**
