**About the role**

City of Parramatta are currently seeking skilled and experienced garbage compactor operators to join our growing Waste & Cleansing team, to ensure that Parramatta’s Public Domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of our great city

We have **1 permanent full-time**opportunity available working on our early morning shift Monday-Friday 2:30am
- 11:30am.

**Duties will include**:

- Undertaking a variety of tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Cleansing Services Team to ensure the long-term management, condition and usability of assets and facilities under the care of the team.
- Operate a variety of plant including garbage compactors.
- Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.

**About You**

**We are looking for someone with**:

- Current MR Drivers License
- White Card
- Previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of waste compactors
- Willingness to adapt and manage priorities.
- Ability to provide a great customer experience for our community.

**What’s on offer**:
We are offering a remuneration of $63,897 plus 11.5% superannuation.

This position may attract additional shift penalties and allowance in accordance with the Local Government Award 2023.

These could include 20% shift penalty for hours worked prior to 6am Monday-Friday and an Adverse Work Conditions Allowance.
