**Join Our Team as a Support Worker**

**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a **Casual Disability** **Support Worker** to work with our Male client with Autism and Behaviours of Concern in **Redland Bay**.**

We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of creating a positive, engaging environment for our client, who is a fan of accessing the community, watching old movies, interacting with animals, engaging with his family when well, fishing, bowling, going out for meals, and mowing the lawn with support. As part of this role, you'll be supporting him at a SIL Accommodation in** Redland Bay.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support client with day-to-day activities, including cooking and cleaning
- Encourage and engage in their interests, especially Community, fishing and bowling
- Provide care in line with Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) and restrictive practices
- Assist with general well-being and support in a SIL (Supported Independent Living) setting

This role incorporates supporting the client to maintain health and wellbeing, develop his independent living skills, access the community, assist with medication support, assist with personal care and develop and maintain positive and healthy relationships, as well as cooking, cleaning and maintaining his home living environment.

**_* Sleepover Shifts Available*:_**
- **Sunday** 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover from 10pm to 6am)
- **Tuesday** 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover from 10pm to 6am)
- **Thursday **3:00 PM to 9:00 AM (sleepover from 10pm to 6am)
- Additional shifts to cover leave and short notice also available

**_Skills/Experience:_**
- Certificate III in Disability or equivalent or at least 1 year relevant experience
- Experience in mental health support work
- Experience with Autism - Behaviours of Concern highly regarded

**_Licences/Credentials:_**
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver's licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Working with Children Check QLD / Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check / Yellow Card
- NDIS Quality Safety and You Certificate - modules completed online
