**Organisation Overview**

Supported Care is a privately-owned company recently established to provide care services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to those living in established level 3 supported accommodation facilities as well as in the community within the South East Queensland area.

**Position Overview**

Working within standards and procedures, instruction and assistance is provided to the Support Worker to assist them in their duties and to familiarise them with the goals and objectives of Supported Care.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Undertake routine activities of a support nature;
- Customer contact and interaction including attending to their personal care or undertaking generic domestic duties, and assisting with community access under direct or routine supervision and either individually or as part of a team;
- Preparation of the full range of domestic duties including cleaning and food service, assistance to customers in carrying out personal care tasks under general supervision either individually or as part of a team, and;
- Undertake word processing at a basic level when completing Case Notes and Incident Reports.

**Position Requirements**
- A current Yellow Card / NDIS Workers Screening Check - or ability to acquire
- Current driver’s licence and a willingness to use your own comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.
- Current First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.
- Competent in the use of a Smart Phone
- Ability and the skillset to develop knowledge of the workplace functions and operations;
- Ability and the skillset to develop knowledge of work practices and policies of the role
- Basic written and verbal communication skills relevant to the role

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.95 - $30.95 per hour
