- The purpose of this role is to support the Automotive Technical Training Manager in the implementation of all training initiatives directed at developing a highly skilled Automotive Technician workforce within O’Brien. This involves ensuring that individual training and development plans for both existing and incoming Auto Technician employees are consistent with the objectives and standards set by Belron best practice. Working Relationships Internal - Branch Managers - formal training follow up, NQJ remediation, Regional Operations Mgrs. - training enhancement & adherence, Leading Hands - formal training follow up, NQJ remediation, Technical Training Team - development of training & prioritisation, HR & Indirect Training Team - ongoing liaison on Belron training programs & employee induction. Auto Technicians - Training & assessment activities External - Training Bodies Travel Regular intra and interstate travel to conduct training, administer/judge Best of Belron competitions and attend Technical Team meetings Qualifications Essential Have successfully completed all modules of the Auto Technician Training and Certification Program (ATCP) Demonstrate competence in the Belron way of fitting at a level greater than 95% as per the Belron Technical Assessment. Have proven literacy and computer skills Desirable Possess or be willing to undertake the Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment Experience & Attributes Essential Exhibit the ability to transfer skills and knowledge in a way consistent with the O’Brien Leadership Competencies Display behaviours consistent with the O’Brien Values Demonstrate self management & problem solving skills. Highly organised with superior planning skills. Ability to communicate and relate at all levels.
