**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our casual pool for the opportunity to support delivery within our various trades skills teams in the position of General Assistant - Toolstore Person. This role aims to provide ad hoc, urgent relief work for supporting skills areas. These roles are based in Western Sydney TAFE sites, Nirimba, Mount Druitt, Wetherill Park, Granville, Lidcombe, Miller, Campbeltown and Macquarie Fields.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
A General Assistant - Toolstore person is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff. This position will carry out manual handling activities and may be required to work to a roster.

**ABOUT YOU**
You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom. You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others and available for casual work. You have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
1. Demonstrated experience working within a trade environment or related work areas.
2. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of purchasing within a trade environment.
3. Demonstrated experience in inventory and stock control including store layout and maintenance
of stores records.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
5. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.

- Demonstrated experience to follow WH&S instructions such as using correct PPE and following Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
