**About the Role**

This Project Officer sits within a team works as part of a team that is committed to excellence in project management and utilizing data-driven insights to achieve goals. As a Project Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in analyzing and providing statistical evidence, quantitative and qualitative data, and modeling to offer business intelligence for projects managed by this NSW Government Agency.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide crucial support in reporting and managing data analytics tasks for various projects.
- Conduct a diverse range of processes and analytical tasks, including developing and updating reporting dashboards.
- Research and evaluate emerging trends and issues to contribute to informed decision-making.
- Create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations and models, including dashboards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring, and coordination purposes.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, tables, and infographics using internal and external data sources.
- Research and prepare information for reports, briefs, and correspondence accurately and punctually.

**Key Challenges**:

- Juggling multiple data analysis support activities for various projects while meeting agreed standards and deadlines.
- Communicating complex insights in clear, understandable language to diverse stakeholders in various formats.
- Facilitating consultation and negotiation with stakeholders with varying expectations and interests within agreed timelines.

**About You**
- Experience in project management.
- Proficiency in technology, particularly Excel, Power BI, or similar research and data visualization software.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering assigned work within agreed timeframes.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with managers on sensitive, high-risk, or business-critical matters when necessary.
- Ability to initiative in decision-making, especially in resolving technical analytic problems and issues.
