**About the role**

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with current industry knowledge and/or experience in the education and training sector, with an interest in supporting young people to succeed. Based at our Shellharbour Campus, this role is a casual position, working within a team of VET professionals. The ESO role is supervised by the Head Teacher and responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhance the student learning experience.

**_ Note_**_: This role does not teach nor deliver training and assessment_.

We are looking for motivated and engaged individuals who have the ability to meet the following selection criteria:

- Qualifications in Education Support, Youth Work or similar
- Interest and/or experience working with disengaged youth
- Commitment and ability to support young people in an adult environment
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team
- Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies
