**About the Role**:
The Classroom Support trainee assists teaching staff in the conduct of educational programs to students by undertaking a range of classroom and clerical teacher support activities which contributes to the achievement of educational outcomes of students.

The Trainee will be supported to develop skills in the following areas:

- Collaborating closely with teaching and non-teaching staff to provide improved learning and educational opportunities for students.
- Contribute to the ongoing provision of effective, appropriate and demanding curriculum programs to students with special needs by recording and reporting student progress and achievements.
- Maintain good order, discipline and respect for others among students.
- Promote and model understanding of the school's values and code of conduct.
- Develop relationships with and between students and staff to support optimal learning.

**Special Conditions**:
This is a 12-month full-time traineeship, and the trainee will undertake a Certificate III in School Based Education Support.
- The successful applicant is required to undertake Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training (RRHAN-EC) Masterclass course.
- The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to confirmation of appointment and renewed every five years before expiry.
- 37.5 hours per week. Generally, this involves starting at 8:00am and finishing at 4.00pm. Some out of hours work may be required.

**Remuneration**

$15,337 - $39,647 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
- Note: The salary level will be dependent on the year of schooling completed as well as number of years out of school._
