Chandler Macleod is pleased to be partnering with a global mining organisation. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their high-performing team in Brisbane CBD.

You will be responsible for managing the full function Accounts Payable duties for one of the client's mine sites.

Strong communication skills are a must as you'll be dealing with personnel at all levels from site staff up to senior management and directors.

**What will the role include?**
- Coordinate the prompt and accurate processing of accounts due for payment, in line with relevant requirements, policies and procedures
- Provide Procurement / Purchasing Officers assistance and follow up of purchase order information from staff in addition to Suppliers as required
- Maintain the Accounts Payable system and transactional records (including vendor and bank records) to ensure that it is up to date and accurate
- Reconcile the creditors sub-ledger with supplier statements and ensure reconciling items are followed up and actioned promptly
- Processing of payments to suppliers on a weekly basis or as required to ensure that such payments are made within agreed trading terms
- Process manual journals / foreign payments / payroll deductions for the month from the bank statement (includes receipts/payments for relevant group entities)

**What are we looking for?**
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
- Experience with computerised accounting systems (SAP would be desirable)
- A professional approach combined with a positive attitude
- Ability to deliver high level customer service and administration support
- Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
