Position Details
As we continue our transformation and growth journey, we are currently looking to appoint a**Compliance Supervisor**based at our Hume Road facility in Laverton North, Melbourne.

You will support the Compliance and Quality Systems programs, ensuring all sites comply with internal and external food safety and compliance requirements, including but not limited to import/export audits, HACCP and customer specific audits.

The key focus area of this role will be in support, protection, and growth of our meat industry compliance programs and certifications, including Halal, CIFER, Mycor, and export market eligibility validations of product.

In addition, you will communicate key audit and food safety requirements to the site operational teams as well as maintain effective relationships with management and respective operational managers.

You will also support the development, implementation, and maintain compliance and quality systems in accordance with company guidelines.

**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Protecting the AA certifications and export licenses of meat proteins through vigilant auditing and training of team
- Maintaining Food Safety systems that as a minimum, satisfies legislative and customer requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining the controls and standards to enable operational compliance with Food Safety regulations and requirements
- Supporting and attending regular auditing programs that satisfy legal, certification, company and customer requirements
- Conducting internal audits, maintaining registrations and certifications ensuring that they are in place and up to date
- Assisting in ensuring the compliance of site with internal and external audit requirements
- Developing training materials and leading educational programs of operations team for continuous improvement
- Adhering to and keeping informed of all relevant legislation, product safety and quality issues, scientific and technical developments, and industry codes of practice
- Ensuring that the operation operates within the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), HACCP and Approved Arrangement guidelines compliance
- Following and enforcing all food safety, quality and legality requirements
- Providing support to sites in closing out all corrective action requests within timelines set out by audits.

**Key skills/experience will ideally include**:

- Working within or auditing background for meat processing and/or abattoirs, exporting, importing meat products
- Halal certification and Halal export market requirements
- Experience completing export meat documentation such as RFP and MTC.
- Extensive experience in a similar role, within a multi commodity operation (i.e. meat, fish, diary) with an emphasis on export meat
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues
- Experience in Root Cause identification, preparing corrective actions and confirming effectiveness.
- Appropriate knowledge of HACCP and strong interest in quality management systems
- Qualifications in Internal or External Auditing (ISO9001:2015) or relevant disciplines
- Experience in Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Schemes (e.g. BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000, IFS, etc).
