**Identified Services & Programs Officer - Silverwater MRRC**

**Salary: $89,707 - $98,982 pa plus superannuation**

**About Us**

Corrective Services NSW runs the state’s correctional centres, supervises offenders in the community, and delivers programs to reduce reoffending, support reintegration and build safer communities.

**About the role**

In this role, you will provide services, such as the facilitation of group based accredited or approved programs and individual support interventions for the people in our care to facilitate their safe, secure, and humane management and to reduce re-offending.

You will assist these people in our care with pre-release and oversee the documentation and case notes on all offenders receiving services as required.

**About you**

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with a background in social work, or professional experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviours.

A positive minded individual who is resilient by nature and able to effectively build positive relationships within a multidisciplinary team environment

**Essential Requirements**:

- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons who are culturally aware?and?responsive to the needs of Aboriginal people and their communities
- Aboriginality with connection and understanding to community and country
- Documented verification of Aboriginality
- Demonstrated experience working with family, social and / or drug and alcohol related issues
- Current driver licence with ability and willingness to travel throughout NSW

The Department will accept proof of Aboriginality confirming the following:
1. You are an Aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent

2. You identify as being Aboriginal; and

3. You are accepted as such by the community in which you live

An acceptable form of documented verification is a “Confirmation of Aboriginality” letter, provided to you by an Aboriginal organisation on their letterhead.

- Have confirmation of Aboriginality
