Lions Haven is a leading not-for-profit 121 bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Hope Island. Our modern facility, which includes a 20 bed secure wing, offers a safe and comfortable environment to ensure quality of life to our residents, staff and visitors. Residents have the freedom to enjoy life in a homelike atmosphere where families and friends are most welcome.

We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic Personal Care Assistants for an immediate start in both permanent part-time and casual positions. If you have a caring and friendly nature, excellent communication skills and love to challenge yourself, we'd love to hear from you

**Qualifications/Experience**

**_Essential_**
- Experience in all facets of low to high and even palliative care.
- Impeccable time management
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills through the use of information technology, written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to identify and resolve situations autonomously and under the supervision of Registered Staff
- Ability to follow directives and adhere to procedures and protocols in place both at Lions Haven and as directed through current Australian Healthcare guidelines
- Display a positive attitude through your attendance, presentation, punctuality and reliability
- Promote the Lions Haven philosophy of providing Resident focused care which maintains their dignity, independence, individuality and freedom of choice
- Respect each Residents individual needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences when providing nursing care

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent or have completed 1 or more year's training as an undergraduate nursing student
- Current Police Certificate /NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Covid-19 Vaccination including booster

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $25.44 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees and visitors to Lions Haven are currently undertaking Rapid Antigen Testing before each shift/visit. PPE in accordance to current guidelines is being worn, social distancing is in place as well as elevated infection control.

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Certificate 3 Individual Support (Ageing) (required)
