The Sales & Policy team are responsible for providing general advice to clients on their home and other insurance needs.

The team respond to enquiries from clients, both written and over the phone, provide quotes and sell policies for a range of general insurance products. This includes the DSH Insurance home building residential insurance policy, which is exclusively for those who have served in the Australian Defence Force.

The team also focus on setting sales goals, analysing data on past performance, and projecting future performance. The team works cross functionally with other teams in DSH Insurance and is responsible for the administration of policies including providing services such as payment collection, endorsements and cancellations of policies as well as the various correspondence that may be sent to policyholders.

**Duties**
- Focus on providing general advice to clients on their home and other insurance needs and respond to enquiries from clients and providers, via all correspondence methods
- Provide quotes and processing insurance policies on all product lines within authority levels and service and underwriting standards
- Complete follow up tasks and reviews and manage existing policies and claims (if required)
- Participate in a roster to ensure national phone coverage is provided during operating hours of 8.00am to 7.00pm.
- Prepare written responses on insurance matters as required
- Complete follow up tasks and reviews and manage existing policies, claims and sales with required time frames
- Participate in agreed projects which seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of DSH Insurance’s business operations as required
- Contribute to setting team goals and work practices
- Monitor own performance against team goals
- Actively represent DSH Insurance and promote the benefits provided
- Provide support to the Senior Insurance Adviser/management as required

**Eligibility**
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen to apply.
- Experience and qualifications in the general insurance industry. Minimum Tier 2 in General Insurance

**Notes**

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
