**We are seeking**:
- Degree qualification in Business/Commerce or assocated discipline
- Leadership skills

- Experience, knowledge and skills with budget preparation andmonitoring.

**Essential**:
1. Degree qualifications in Business/Commerce or associated discipline and demonstrated substantial experience in the management of a medium sized business or government agency.
3. Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of contract management.
4. Demonstrated experience in understanding and interpreting legislation, regulations, codes of practice and statutory policies that govern business operations.
5. Demonstrated sound knowledge of business finance, accounting practice and standards, risk management and internal control procedures.
6. Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and managing change - the ability to think at a big picture level and take a long-term view in developing a vision for the future.
7. Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and risks, and impacts and the expertise to resolve complex operational programs and service delivery issues.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to provide the unit with clear objectives, inspire a positive attitude to work and to succeed and steer others towards successful goal and task accomplishment whilst promoting diversity in the unit.
9. Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills. The ability to create consensus, resolve disputes and broker agreement to proposals and ideas.
10. Highly developed written communication skills including dispute resolution, the ability to write in a clear, fluent and concise manner, produce written communications that are appropriate and readily understood by the intended audience and organise information in a logical sequence.
11. Demonstrated competence in managing priorities to meet business planning, program and statutory requirements.
