**About the Role**
We are currently looking for an energetic and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our supported accommodation team AND Community Access and Individuals in Singleton.
Must have flexible availability including overnights and weekends.
This rewarding position within a positive, strengths based and person-centered service will see you support individuals living with a disability to reach their potential and achieve their goals.

**About You**
We are looking for genuine, proactive Disability Support Workers experienced in supporting people in a range of ways dependent upon the needs of each individual. This may include household activities, medical and health needs, attending community events/activities, personal care, meal management, transport, communication, and managing emotions and behaviors.
Successful applicants will:
- demonstrate initiative and be able to set priorities;
- work collaboratively and achieve individual and team goals and targets;
- understand the principles of person centred support;
- build and develop positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and fellow staff members.
**Position Requirements**
- Certificate III in Disability or Home and Community Services or equivalent experience;
- Previous experience in, or demonstrated commitment to, actively supporting people with a disability;
- A strong understanding of the issues involved in working with people with a disability (intellectual, physical or multiple) and a commitment to social justice;
- Competence in developing and/or working within the framework of Individual Plans;
- Completion of a pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid certificate and valid driver’s licence.
