**Description**:
Kids Plus has a fantastic new opportunity to lead a team of multidisciplinary allied health professionals, whilst contributing to the team as a therapist in your discipline area.
You will be an expert in your field, with extensive experience as either a Physiotherapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist and demonstrate leadership qualities in your interaction with other team members.
We are looking for someone who can lead by example in providing best practice therapy, with drive and motivation to lead a team of passionate, dedicated, highly skilled professionals, with a commitment to furthering their specialist skills.
Kids Plus Foundation is located in Geelong, Victoria on the beautiful Surf Coast. We provide family focused allied health services including assessment, therapy and family support. We specialise in interventions for babies, children and young people with cerebral palsy and similar neurological conditions. Our focus is to work in partnership with families to understand their individual need and values.
We value sharing our knowledge with families, early learning centres, schools and other health professionals to create more inclusive communities.
Our service aims to empower participants and enhance participation in everyday activities. We care about improving quality of life.
Kids Plus provides flexible working options, including the opportunity to take on the role on a Full Time or Part Time basis, as well as 6 weeks annual leave per year and an excellent team culture.
Key Role Objectives
- Manage a team of therapists across multiple allied health disciplines which may include, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work/Support Coordination and Allied Health Assistant/s
- Provide clinical supervision for therapists based on individual need
- Provide caseload management and oversight for team members
- Monitor and supervise the key performance indicator of therapy team members
- Manage a clinical caseload and deliver person and family centred practice, as part of an integrated and multidisciplinary team
- Identify client therapy needs through formal and informal assessment, and identification of functional strengths and limitations
- Develop goal directed therapy service plans with the client/family/carer
- Implement appropriate treatment options, that may include individual or group therapy sessions
- Actively participate and lead in the development of Kids Plus Foundation new and existing specialist programs and therapy supports with the team.
- Work within the leadership team to shape core therapy program design and delivery, ensuring effective and efficient use of Kids Plus’s resources, and taking into consideration the needs and priorities of participants
- Provide oversight of resources - including, but not limited to; assessment forms, specialist resources and arrange purchasing as required
- Assist in the development or delivery of professional development to Kids Plus staff or external training workshops and/or conferences
- May be involved in Kids Plus Foundation research activities

Education and Experience
- Relevant Bachelor of Science degree in an Allied Health Discipline (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Speech Pathology)
- Post graduate training - preferred
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in treating children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays and disabilities - preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team of health professionals
- Excellent knowledge of paediatric health and disability services
- Experience in developing plans to meet clients’ functional goals
- Demonstrated knowledge of evaluation processes for physiotherapy interventions
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to quality and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication skills and experience in report writing
