**About Us**:
Welcome to Stretton State College. We are a high performing school with an enrolment of approximately 3070 students across our primary (Gowan) and secondary (Illaweena) campuses. As we enter our eleventh year at Stretton State College we are excited to welcome new students and community members to our College.

**About the Role**:
As the Head of Department (Secondary) your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Embed a shared vision and culture of learning within the HPE context to promote academic success and meaningful pathways beyond school.
- Actively engage with key stakeholders of teaching staff, students, parents, government agencies and community groups.
- Actively engage with identified partnerships such as RTO's to support student success.
- Actively engage with the Director of Sporting Excellence to establish collegial relations that foster a culture of excellence both within the HPE classroom, on the sporting field, and in the College community.
- Display high quality leadership that sets high standards, and directly influences the engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing of staff and students.
- Leading teaching and learning within the context of the HPE faculty, and with a focus on current pedagogical approaches, the Australian Curriculum and senior pathways including ATAR outcomes.
- Be futures oriented and strategic in the leadership of HPE curriculum as well as VET curriculum to provide opportunities for students both while they are at and beyond school.
- Empowering students to experience academic success with a focus on learning skills, leveraging inclusive practices that enable access, participation purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning.
