**About Us**:
We are the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria or, more fondly, Vinnies Victoria. For more than 165 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

Under our Good Works umbrella we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly. VCV also provides employment to people living with disability.

**About the Role**:
As the Internal Auditor you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Groups (SVDPV, VCV & VincentCare Community Housing) internal audit functions. Working towards the Group’s three-year internal audit plan, endorsed and approved by our Group Audit Risk and Compliance Committee (GARC), ensuring continuous improvement and quality outcomes are provided through internal audit outcomes and reports. As part of the Internal Audit and Risk Management Team, you will work closely with the Risk and Insurance Manager to ensure effective controls are in place.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Providing timely and effective internal audit across the Group (SVDPV, VCV, VCCH)
- Undertaking research and investigations in relation to performance improvement, capacity and accountability across the Group
- Determining internal scopes and delivering on our Three
- Year Audit Plan;
- Preparing and maintaining appropriate records of all audits;
- Evaluating risk exposures and contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management, governance and systems;
- Engaging and seeking to have continuous knowledge and development around sector standards, legislation, best practices, tool, and techniques.

**About You**:
With your keen-eye for detail, you are able to analyse policies, procedures and frameworks we have in place, and determine the effectiveness of them, and also how effectively they are being implemented. From this, you are subsequently able to make recommendations for improvement. Moreover, utilising your excellent interpersonal skills, you can collaborate with other stakeholders to review and tailor their internal frameworks to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislations.

**More specifically you will have**:

- A Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or a related field;
- CPA/CA/CIA certificate or working towards one;
- Demonstrated Experience in undertaking a range of internal audit activities;
- Experience in establishing and reviewing risk and compliance frameworks, policies, practices and processes;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- An ability to develop sound working relationships with all key stakeholders;
- A high level of analytical skills and the ability to make innovative & practical recommendations;
- Proven ability to work autonomously within dedicated timeframes.
