**About Wamuran State School**:
Our student population is currently 326 students from Prep to Year 6. Our dedicated staff offer students a rich learning environment with focused teaching and learning experiences based around the Australian Curriculum. We value the environment in which we live and have established an Earth Protectors program at our school. Robotics and Performing Arts also play a very important part in our extra curricula activities with students invited to participate in clubs before school and at lunchtimes.

**About the Role: Duties may include the following**:

- Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained
- Ensure that the duties prescribed of the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor in accordance with the approved school cleaning program
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards etc.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning sinks and drinking fountains.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete; bitumen; asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing.
- Removal of graffiti.
- Sweeping.
- Vacuuming.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Activating and disarming school security systems as required.
- Locking and unlocking buildings.
- Capacity to fulfill the position description (as described above)
- Must hold a paid Working with Children Blue Card
- Must undergo a Criminal History Check
- Proven ability to work independently, achieving quality work outcomes
- Support productive working relationships and capacity to work in a team

The position of cleaner reports directly to the school Business Services Manager or appropriate delegate.
