**About the role**
Reporting into the Business and Risk manager, quantity surveyor will be responsible for monitoring and estimating the costs of construction including analysing existing budgets, reviewing claims, preparing estimates, and building relationships with site managers/delivery team.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Review budgets for schedule, man-hours and overall cost breakdown
- Support in preparation of monthly/weekly financial reports and forecasting
- Assisting in the preparation of request for quotations for subcontractors and supply items.
- Conduct negotiations with short listed subcontractors and supplier and arrange and supply contracts to be let.
- Manage contracts from a commercial aspect, as well as understanding legal implications.
**About you**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar position in the infrastructure sector
- Technical knowledge of all phases of contracts and cost management particularly claims negotiation and variations management.
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
