**Business Context**

Packaging Material and CAPEX/MRO play instrumental role in driving business operations continuity and profitability growth. While we need to establish operational excellence to support production requirements with on time, in full, and spec & quality compliant delivery from suppliers, we also have major contribution in driving business profitability and growth.

Material cost typically plays major contribution to the total supply chain cost, hence every price reduction or any saving project to further bring down inflation would mean a significant improvement for the business.

Aside, Packaging sourcing also faces challenges from the market to be fully responsibly sourced and committed to sustainability. It is why Procurement is also involved building and executing immediate to long-term commitment to sustainability through its USLP which also sets up commitment toward compliance and sustainability target toward wood-based packaging (NDPE, CoC, etc), plastic packaging (Post Consumer Recycled (PCR), waste reduction), climate action/decarbonisation, living wage, sourcing diversity and else.

Procurement also continues to support marketing in the execution of brand innovations, specifically on on-time and in-full innovations, while also bring insights of suppliers’ technology and competitive advantage to enrich our innovation pipeline.

Procurement also needs to be fully adaptable in incorporating future skills required, specifically on digital and data science and analytics. Procurement will also be involved in enriching our end-to-end buying and suppliers experience into more digitally and value-adding process.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for an exceptional **Assistant Procurement Manager** who will lead sourcing strategy for Paper/Board, Customer Packaging, Folding Carton, Market Packaging (incl glass, metal, and other market packaging) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX)/MRO and high-level call to action, negotiation, pricing strategy and other commercial initiatives with suppliers’ senior leaders for the portfolio handled.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Engage directly to both global and local stakeholders, include high level management in building and executing strategic sourcing plan, includes CEO, Marketing VP and Director, Supply Chain / Factory / Finance / R&D VP and Director and internal Procurement, includes CPO / VP/ Director.
- Lead the price forecasting in quarterly basis - review the CPE, volume, incoterm, currency, index, and impact, incl communications to the regional and local procurement, finance and business on the drivers of the cost movement and its impact, saving opportunities and status tracking.
- Look after buying activities for Packaging and Capex/MRO from sourcing identification in the market; Request for Quotation (RFQ), tendering, negotiation and supplier awarding processes; support R&D for trials and validations; contracting; vendor master data management; and supply operations.
- Own responsibility to manage saving projects, related to buying competitiveness and product logic as ways to further enhance business profitability. This role also includes organizing saving workshops to collaborate with stakeholders in identifying saving opportunities, collaborate fo
