**About the role**

As the **Head of EPMO**, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s **project portfolio**.

You will lead a high-performing team responsible for enterprise-wide portfolio management, project governance and assurance, and enabling project delivery excellence.

Reporting to the **Chief Transformation Officer**, you’ll provide strategic oversight of all capital infrastructure, business transformation, and ICT-enabled projects across V/Line.

An exceptional leader, the **Head of EPMO**ensures that all EPMO team members are supported and empowered to deliver high quality services and have access to development opportunities in line with their career aspirations.

You’ll champion investment prioritisation, drive continuous improvement of our project management frameworks, and ensure robust governance and assurance practices are embedded across the enterprise. **Key accountabilities include**:

- Lead and evolve the EPMO to deliver high quality portfolio and project management services.
- Oversee investment prioritisation to ensure alignment with V/Line’s strategic goals.
- Provide strategic advice to Executives on portfolio health, risks, and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in project governance, assurance, and delivery capability.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to optimise project outcomes and realise measurable benefits.
- Foster a high-performing, future-ready team culture that supports growth and innovation.

**About you**

You are a seasoned leader with deep expertise in enterprise portfolio management and a passion for enabling transformation.
- Exceptional people leadership skills, with significant experience in inspiring and coaching individuals and teams to reach their full potential
- Extensive experience leading an EPMO or similar function in a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to design and implement fit-for-purpose PMO operating models and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of investment prioritisation, project governance, and assurance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- A pragmatic, adaptive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated alignment with V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
