Logistics & Shipping Coordinator, Permanent role, Perth based

**Your new role**

As the Logistics / Shipping Coordinator you will report to the National Supply Chain Manager your permanent job will be based in the Perth CBD with travel to the port as required. You will be responsible for the smooth and timely shipment of the bulk product to the Asian markets. You will liaise with the Ships Agency, Stevedore, road transport and Ship Broker enabling you to recommend vessel nomination to your manager.
- Planning and scheduling of the ship loading.
- Daily / weekly monitoring and reporting of tonnage movements, shipping schedule and tonnage reconciliation
- Monitor ship loading performance for export volumes use the data to recommend action to increase or maintain the volumes
- Ensure all shipping documents, purchase orders and invoices are executed accurately and on time
- Identify and escalate any risk to shipping schedule

**What you'll need to succeed**

As the Logistics / Shipping Coordinator you will have the ability to work autonomously and have a positive, can do attitude to your work.
- Knowledge and experience of bulk transport, containerised cargo, storage and shipping
- Working knowledge of shipping process / documentation
- Dangerous Goods experience would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of Incoterms
- Strong presentation and communication skills
