Exciting opportunities are now open for awesome people to join our crew at Farro Hawthorn. We are seeking a competent barista to be our caffeination master for our new brunch open hours.

Farro, is an organic spelt sourdough pizzeria with locations in Hawthorn, Thornbury, Windsor and Fitzroy and believes in their guests making a conscious choice with what they eat. Farro is so much more than just quality & nutritious food; it’s an experience - made up of great ambiance and of course, brilliant guest service. The restaurant is open for dinner service every day but Monday and for brunch service on weekends.

This role is not exclusively at the machine. You will be expected to help out on the floor too, but when a killer coffee needs making, you will be the one to make it.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Pour Melbourne standard coffee
- Manage an effective, clean coffee machine and surrounding station
- Ensure the grind is correct
- Fill any spare time assisting floor team members (Taking orders, clearing tables, serving food & drinks, etc.)

**About You**
- Passionate about coffee in all its forms
- No cocktail knowledge required, but fabulous if you have it
- If you can pour a beer, make a coffee, and banter with the locals you’ll fit right in
- Prior restaurant experience is ideal
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to make recommendations from the menu
- Ability to work under pressure during busy periods whilst maintaining a positive attitude
- Able to effectively communicate with both guests and team members
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $28.00 per hour
