Spiritual and Wellbeing Coordinator

**The Role**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate a range of activities to meet spiritual, pastoral and religious needs.
- Support and contribute to integrating spiritual and pastoral care across all care and services.
- Recruit, train and support volunteers to support residents’ spiritual and pastoral care.
- Establish and maintain effective links and relationships with community groups and faith communities to support spiritual and pastoral care.
- Contribute positively to team work to achieve operational outcomes, and promote a positive SCC workplace culture in alignment with SCC Values, mission and vision.
- Liaise and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.
**Essential Qualifications**
- Relevant qualifications (at least Cert IV or Graduate Diploma level) in appropriate fields such as pastoral care in the context of ageing, chaplaincy, counselling or social work
**Experience & Skills**
- Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care
- Capacity to acquire skills in recruiting, selecting and supporting Pastoral Care Volunteers
- Experience in conducting training and education in spiritual care
- Acceptance and sensitivity to and understanding of the spiritual dimension of older people
- High-level communication skills including reflective listening
- Innovative and creative thinking to problem-solving
- Leadership capacity to encourage and engage team members
- Ability to network with enthusiasm in a way that actively connects with faith communities and community groups
- Well-organised and able to plan and coordinate a range of activities and priorities
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Capacity to implement and follow structured systems and processes
- Current driver’s license and ability to regularly travel and be away from home on occasions for learning and development events
