The Manager will ensure the effective operation and on-going development of VSBA's early childhood grants programs by:

- Leading the Grants team in the administration of a range of kindergarten grants programs, ensuring work processes and practices are in accordance with VSBA's framework of policies and procedures, and governance requirements and that they support capacity, improvement and inclusion outcomes for the early childhood sector.
- Overseeing the monitoring and management of stakeholder reporting requirements in relation to allocated funds to ensure projects meet agreed expectations.
- Providing authoritative advice and guidance to the Grants Team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to the operation of the grants program and funding allocation processes.
- Preparing accurate, informative and succinct briefing papers and media releases relating to the operation of the early childhood grants programs for internal/external stakeholders (e.g., communications, senior VSBA managers, Minister's office)
- Overseeing the management of data/information management systems (VSBA currently use SmartyGrants and iTwocx) to ensure the accuracy and currency of information, and updating information as required.
- Providing leadership, support and guidance to the team in accordance with DET values and HR policies and procedures.
