Social Mingles is looking to recruit an Event’s Host to join their team, could that be you?

We help singles from Brisbane and the Gold Coast come together for successful meetups, speed dating, and other events.

We pride ourselves on creating exciting, interesting events that provide a safe space for singles to mingle and find love.

Each event can include up to 30 people, who are excited to attend our events. We want our customers to have an amazing experience, you can help us achieve this, every time.

**Our Events**

We offer a range of events that need a fun, committed, social host to help make sure they are successful and our singles have the best time.

Each event is split into age groups so that our singles meet like-minded people they are bound to form connections with

Our events include:

- Speeding Dating
- Singles Bar Hops
- Singles Parties - New Year's Eve, Valentine’s Day, Singles Day & Cocktail Night

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Events take place on weeknights (Thursday / Friday) and Saturday nights. You will be notified beforehand which days events are taking place.
- You will host 2-4 events a month.
- You will be hosting the events by yourself.
- Shifts start at 7 PM and end between 10-11 PM depending on the day.
- You will be expected to set up table numbers, games and sign in customers as they arrive.
- While Covid restrictions have now eased we still require our hosts to have full Covid vaccination status to prepare for any future changes to venue Covid policies. We hope you understand and respect our position on this matter.

**Skills and Qualities**
- **Essential**_
- **Must have excellent social skills**, feel confident speaking in groups, and be able to take charge of the event to keep the flow and pace of the night.
- **Must be reliable and trustworthy**. We place a lot of responsibility in our hosts and require trust on both sides. We trust our hosts to turn up to shifts on time, and not disappoint 30 people who are attending our events by canceling shifts at the last minute (or on the day). Our hosts trust us to provide them stability in the number of events running and being paid on time.
- **Must be able to travel** within the Gold Coasts area.
- **Must have excellent time-keeping skills**. Must turn up to work on time and be able to stick to the event schedules.
- **Experience in customer service**. Must be flexible and able to respond to changing situations, solve customer or venue problems and ensure the smooth running of events.
- **Professional**, we expect our hosts to act professionally at all times.
- **Attention to detail**, able to notify customers who may be extra nervous, aren’t joining in as much as others, or customers who are causing unease or being rowdy. You should be proactive in dealing with any situation that arises.
- **Desirable**_
- Ideally have a good grasp of technology e.g. able to use Zoom and other online platforms.
- Will be able to help promote events through videos online.
- Have an understanding of the different social dynamics of men & women.
- Have management experience with transferable skills to lead groups of people and events.
