Our Parks Team is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Parks Operator - Irrigation to join our team and actively manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the City’s irrigation infrastructure to ensure our horticultural assets thrive.

Reporting to the Supervisor Irrigation, this position will support the City by:

- Testing, repairing and troubleshooting irrigation systems.
- Monitoring pumping systems operation and measuring irrigation system performance.
- Implementing irrigation schedules based on the City’s irrigation water budgets and groundwater allocations.
- Operating and maintaining pressurised irrigation systems, irrigation central controls and standalone irrigation controllers.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of daily and weekly irrigation maintenance schedules associated with the City parks, malls, streetscapes and other landscape areas as required.
- Providing expert advice on all irrigation matters to staff, clients, suppliers and the community.
- Performing all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
