**About the role**

Based at our world class office in Osborne Park and reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will ensure that the appropriate support and advice on tax related matters is provided to the MinRes Finance team and the wider MinRes business. You will contribute to meeting the tax compliance obligations of one of Australia’s fastest growing and most exciting Companies. Duties include but not limited to;
- Income tax return and working paper preparation.
- Technical tax research and documentation of positions taken.
- Preparation of tax effect calculations for half year and year-end reporting.
- Preparation of tax advice relating to international jurisdictions as well as assistance in meeting compliance obligations.
- Preparation of tax forecasting for Group cashflow purposes and management of PAYG instalment rates.
- Assistance with various tax improvement projects including but not limited to the testing of tax controls and implementation of internal audit recommendations.
- Assistance with the preparation of tax fixed asset registers, including implementation of new tax technology solutions.
- Exploring and implementing the use of tax technology solutions across the entire tax function.
- Assistance with advisory work in relation to FBT and other employment taxes.
- Provide assistance in complying with ATO audits/review activity

**About you**
- CA/CPA qualified with 6+ years of experience in Corporate Tax (can be across a combination of public practice firm / commercial tax role).
- Public practice experience needs to demonstrate an exposure to large ASX listed clients (Typically obtained in a big 4 or large mid-tier firm)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
- Experience using Thomson’s OneSource corporate tax software is desirable.
- Strong tax effect preparation experience is essential, preferably within the mining industry.
- Pronto (or similar ERP) experience is desirable.
