**Your new role**
- Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training.
- Undertaking activities related to the delivery of goods to and from any location in a safe and timely manner, including transport bookings, receiving, unpacking, repacking, dispatching, collecting and delivering.
- Preparing and packing all outbound cargo into sea containers, LCL cargo shipping and air freight while ensuring compliance with company standards and National and International regulatory requirements.
- Arrangement of cargo and container transport including handling transported goods in accordance with MSDS and established handling procedures. Ensuring that all dangerous goods and hazardous materials are stored and shipped in accordance with health and safety, MSDS and legislative requirements.
- Monitoring Light Vehicle (LV) and Heavy Vehicle (HV) equipment, undertaking pre-start mechanical checks and arranging servicing; maintaining all equipment, materials and storage facilities in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition in accordance with recommended operating practices including temperature sensitive goods; ensuring effective use of available cargo and storage space.
- Assisting with the collation of all relevant shipping documentation, customs clearance and port documents, materials, manifests and commercial invoices.
- Checking and verifying the accuracy of all goods received against purchase orders, delivery notices and invoices; entering and updating all receipted goods into the Pronto accounting and stock control system.
- Make a few minor changes and stock control system, monitoring goods received in collection or delivery and reporting variances or damages by pro-actively liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies.
- Contributing to the monitoring, review, creation and updating of logistics and warehouse relevant Company Safety and Operational Procedures.

**What you will need to succeed**
- Relevant warehouse, import and export logistics experience (approximately 2 years or more)
- A current unencumbered ‘C Class Driver’s license and LF forklift ticket
- Completed Grade 10 high school education or equivalent
- Experience using a forklift for packing and unpacking shipping containers and flat racks for export
- Knowledge of safety standards relevant to dangerous goods handling
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and experience communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrated punctual attendance and flexibility to work outside normal office hours as required
- Experience planning, prioritising and working safely to meet tight deadlines with a minimum of supervision
- Willingness to learn and cover other team members tasks while on leave
