**The Role**

By supporting the creation of a positive workplace culture, as a recognisable employer brand and a highly engaged team, the People & Culture function at Woodville Alliance (WA) supports the organisation to meet its strategic and operational objectives.

We are looking for someone to join our team two days a week. This role would suit someone who is studying towards a career in HR or is interested in gaining insightful experience in HR within the Not for Profit sector. It’s also ideal for someone seeking flexibility, such as working during school hours or accommodating other commitments. This opportunity will assist you in becoming a well-rounded generalist HR practitioner. The role will assist the team across a range of projects and administrative tasks.

**Main Duties**
- Recruitment, Onboarding and Induction
- Traineeship program
- Training and development
- Performance Management and Development
- Human Resources Administration such as electronic filing, scanning, extracting data and running trend reports etc.
- Employee Relations
- Various HR Projects such as development of an Intranet page; roll-out of HRIS, workforce capability model, Induction and Onboarding project, reward and recognition program; annual salary review, engagement survey or Pulse survey; well-being initiatives etc.

**Selection Criteria**
- Relevant qualifications (or working towards), experience, knowledge and/or keen interest in HR or related field.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
- Proficiency in using Office 365 suite of programs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, competing priorities and stay organised.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times
- High level of maturity and professionalism, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders - staff, managers, vendors etc.
- Ability to actively role-model and promote WA Mission, Vision and Values, including fairness, social justice and respecting cultural diversity
- Proactive and “can-do” attitude
