**Position Overview**
Once trained, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of HaslerRail’ s electronic rail and rolling stock product portfolio. This role involves a hands-on approach to repairing, upgrading, providing technical support, and coordinating internal sales for the HaslerRail portfolio. It requires a combination of technical expertise in electronics and strong sales and customer service skills.
Your typical week will include a mix of hands-on repairs and upgrades, as well as customer service responsibilities. This position is an excellent fit for individuals with a background in electronics who aspire to transition into sales, particularly within the rail industry. It offers a dynamic work environment that combines technical work with customer-facing responsibilities.
**Technical Support and Maintenance**
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade HaslerRail Event Recorders systems and components used in rail equipment.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
**Customer Service & Sales Support**:
- Assist the sales team by providing technical information and support during the sales process.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for electronic systems and components.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service.
**Skills & Attributes**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
- Proactive and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills and technologies.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Education: Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, mechanical or a related field.
- Relevant experience in these disciplines without formal qualifications will also be considered.
