Groundsperson

**About the Role**

An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Vegetation Team to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned maintenance and presentation of council’s parks, gardens, reserves and sports grounds, by utilising a variety of mowing, cleaning, chemical and maintenance techniques to ensure areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.

**What you will be doing**:

- Follow Maintenance Activity Specifications to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned vegetation maintenance within allocated timeframes
- Maintenance of garden areas, including rainwater gardens
- Operation of mowers and a range of equipment to maintain parks, gardens, sportfields, naturestrips and other similar areas
- Other duties specified by the supervisor/ manager
- Undergo planning cleaning of laneways
- Preparation and maintenance of turf areas
- Upkeep of presentation of vegetation

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate III in relevant field
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- Drivers Licence (Class C)
- Chemical Safety Accreditation (AQF3)
- First Aid and CPR Accreditation
- Traffic Controller licence
- Sound knowledge of WH&S policies and procedures
- Ability to use mobile communication devices including mobile phone and iPads.

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0220 Salary: Up to $65K + Superannuation
